Neighborhood Matching Fund Spring has Sprung

We’re through the snows of winter and now is a great time to plan for neighborhood improvements!  The Neighborhood Matching Fund can be a source of funds to assist with improvements to your local community.  As a “matching fund”, the City will match dollar for dollar, the contributions of neighborhood groups for a specific physical improvement.  Examples of improvement projects could include entry and identification signs and landscaped areas, improvements to open space and play equipment and any other physical improvement that is of benefit to the entire neighborhood.

The Neighborhood Matching Fund has been a successful program for ten years, with many groups doing wonderful projects in their local neighborhoods.  The amount of the grant may be up to $5,000, with the neighborhood providing its own contribution toward the grant “match” in the form of cash, donated materials or professional services and volunteer labor.

Before and After

"We really enjoyed the work days and coming together as a community. While the actual project was a huge success, the community building and involvement of the children in the neighborhood far exceeded our expectations."
