Redmond Code Rewrite
New Zoning Code in April!

The Redmond Code Rewrite project will wrap up soon. The new Redmond Zoning Code is scheduled to be adopted on April 5th by the City Council and will go into effect on April 15th. This project began in 2009 as an effort to make the City’s zoning code clearer, more concise, and more predictable and user-friendly for City residents, business owners, and development professionals. The new code will maintain the integrity of code concepts adopted over time by the City Council, while utilizing new ideas to achieve these concepts.

Draft sections of the new code as approved by the Code Rewrite Commission are available for viewing online on the Code Rewrite homepage at www.redmond.gov/rcdgrewrite. A fully formatted and renumbered code will be available as PDF documents when the new code is adopted in April. In fall of this year, a new on-line code will go live which will be easier to search and include hyperlinks that will make the code much simpler to navigate.  Until that time, PDFs of the adopted code will be available on line and a limited number of copies will be available for viewing at the Development Services Center.
