Good for your Plants; Good for the Environment!
The 18th Annual Spring Garden Fair will be held Saturday, April 30, from 9 am to 3:30 pm at University of Washington/Cascadia Community College campus. This year’s event promises to bring both new and experienced gardeners more information and new techniques to help them develop beautiful, healthy, waterwise and environmentally-friendly landscapes.
Ciscoe Morris will broadcast his radio show on 97.3 FM from the Fair and hostess Meeghan Black from KING 5’s Evening Magazine will be on hand to help assist attendees. Speakers will share plant ideas, natural yard care tips, irrigation tricks and advice on preparing healthy soil.
The Fair is free with activities for children and adults. Kids will have a great time making terrariums showing the water cycle in action. Visitors can also visit a variety of information booths and discuss gardens with master gardeners and master composters. Native and drought tolerant plants will be for sale along with rain barrels and compost bins.
