Road Closure to SR 520

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and its contractor, Guy F. Atkinson Construction, LLC, are building new northbound multi-level ramps to separate vehicles entering and exiting I-405 between NE 8th Street and SR 520 in Bellevue.

As part of the project, crews need to remove and replace a power transmission tower with a new pole. The new pole will raise the power line to provide necessary clearance above a new bridge.

During the relocation work, crews may need to completely close SR 520 in both directions between I-405 and 148th Ave NE for up to two nights the week of September 20.

Electronic Tolling is Coming to the SR 520 Bridge – Are You Ready?

In the spring of 2011, all-electronic tolling will begin on the SR 520 Bridge to help pay for the construction of a new, safer bridge. Good To Go! electronic tolling uses technology to keep traffic moving with no toll booths, no stopping and no slowing down.

Customers can set up prepaid accounts linked to a Good To Go! Pass installed in your vehicle or linked to your license plate. Automatic replenishment allows you to never have to worry about running low in your account. Simply link a bank account or credit card to the account and your Good To Go! account is automatically replenished when you run low.

Take the eastbound NE Eighth Street exit
Travel east on NE Eighth Street to 148th Ave
Turn left and go northbound on 148th Ave NE to SR-520

Westbound SR 520
Westbound SR-520 closes at 148th Ave NE
Drivers exit to southbound 148th Ave NE
Follow southbound 148th Ave to NE Eighth St
Turn right and go east on NE Eighth St
Take I-405 north to SR 520 west
