Redmond Code Rewrite
Tell Us Your Thoughts!

The second phase of the Redmond Code Rewrite is well underway and the Code Rewrite Commission seeks your input!  This project began in 2009 as an effort to rewrite the City’s zoning code (Redmond Community Development Guide) and will continue through adoption of a new code in spring 2011.  The Code Rewrite Commission reviews each new section of code at weekly public meetings on Monday nights at 6pm in the Council Chambers.

The Commission’s anticipated review schedule including topics, timing and appropriate staff contacts is listed below.  If you have comments or suggestions related to any of these topics, please contact the staff person listed.

  • Design Standards: CRC review in August/September 2010
Contact: Steve Fischer at 425-556-2432 or sfischer@redmond.gov
  • Development Standards 2 (including affordable housing, transfer development rights, transit supportive development, signs, historic and archaeological resources, parking, high capacity transit corridor preservation and transitions between zones): CRC review in September 2010
Contact: Gary Lee at 425-556-2418 or glee@redmond.gov.
