Join the City of Redmond at Sammamish Releaf – the City’s annual volunteer tree planting event. We will plant trees and shrubs in order to enhance forest habitat in a natural area adjacent to Westside Park, just above the Sammamish River.
Event details
Location: Westside Neighborhood Park,
5810 156 Ave NE, Redmond
Date: October 9
Time: 9am to noon
We provide tools, training, gloves, bathrooms, water, light refreshments and lots of gratitude.
- We work rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
- All participants are required to sign a volunteer agreement before working.
- Those under 18 must have the signature of their parent or guardian.
- Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Our work will help protect a beautiful old section of forest that supports a creek. Protecting this forest, helps the stream and this in turn, helps ensure clean, cold water flows into the Sammamish River. Your work will make our community a bit more beautiful and will help the environment.
Waivers are available on the City’s website:
