Prepared for Your Winter Commute?

• You’ve got your emergency supplies at work, a kit in the car and extra food at home but what about your commute?  Do you have a plan for working or commuting in bad weather? Now is the time to familiarize yourself with commute options, should you need them this winter.

  Check your employer’s telework policy.  Working from home is the best way to avoid poor-weather driving conditions.

  Be aware of the bus routes between your home and office. Be sure to check any schedule changes due to winter weather at www.soundtransit.org or http://metro.kingcounty.gov. 

  If you must drive in slippery conditions, reduce cars on the road and find a carpool partner.  Make sure you have their contact information at home.
